Sex News Roundup.

A few members of the Dusty Miller fan club.

Croatia denies same-sex marriage in national referendum. My friend is philosophical about this one. She’s a lesbian, I think I told you that before.

She also doesn’t live in Croatia. It’s not her fight. Croatia is quoted as ‘being tolerant towards homosexuality.’ Who they might be compared to is unclear from the text.

Georgetown, Guyana. Police officer’s assault on sex worker caught on video.

“A police officer stationed at Mahdia and accused of harassing sex workers in the Region Eight area has been reportedly captured on video assaulting one of them and the Guyana Women Miners Organization (GWMO) plans to take up the issue with the senior officers of the police force.” (Stabroek News.)

Fucking dummies spelled organization with an ‘s.’ What up with that, eh?

Sex workers love Affordable Health Care Act. I hope the reader will forgive me, but I will never use the term ‘Obamacare’ because I refuse to let someone else set the agenda and define the terms.

“In the all-cash, off-the-books sex industry, workers can be particularly high risk and insurance is often out of reach. Many sex workers -- a broad term that can refer to a number of services, including sexual massage, prostitution, and escort and dominatrix work -- consider themselves self-employed entrepreneurs who can't afford to purchase healthcare. But that could all change with the Affordable Care Act.” (CNN Money.)

I’ve actually read a couple of stories on this issue, which makes me something of an expert. Either that or some one with a little too much time on my hands. But the perspective is different when the trade is legal.

“The girls at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch say they support the new legislation.  Taylor Lee said; "Having this profession, we aren't exactly offered group health insurance.  It's hard because I do have a pre-existing condition so I really support Obamacare.  I'm excited."

“Taylor Lee's pre-existing condition didn't help, but that wasn't the only reason she was denied health coverage prior to Obamacare.  Before the new law she and the other girls who work at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch said getting health insurance was impossible because carriers refused to cover them because they worked in a legal brothel. Bella Dawn said; "I switched professions and I wrote it down and they denied it because of the profession I'm in."  Caressa Kisses agrees adding; "They equate us to illegal working girls who have very high STD's and AIDS rates which we have none of the above.  We're legal, licensed prostitutes.” (MyNews4.)

Now this is creepy. Remind me not to get too anesthetized anytime soon. Doctor found guilty of twenty-one sex assaults on patients under sedation.

“The women reported that Doodnaught kissed them, touched them inappropriately or committed other sexual acts while they were under conscious sedation — all but one during surgeries at a Toronto hospital between 2006 and 2010.” (National Post.)

The American Psychiatric Association will ‘correct’ its manual. Pedophilia is not an ‘orientation.’

No, I would say it is a paraphiliac behaviour. I am not a psychiatrist, nor do I play one on TV.

“Pedophilia is not a 'sexual orientation,' and erroneous use of that phrase will be corrected soon in its new manual on mental illnesses, the American Psychiatric Association said Thursday. The APA’s statement came in response to media inquiries, including from The Washington Times, about an uproar on the Internet that the APA had designated pedophilia as a sexual orientation in its new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, known as DSM-5 or DSM-V.”

See this: they agree with me.

“Other…paraphilias are exhibitionistic disorder, fetishistic disorder, frotteuristic disorder, sexual masochism disorder, sexual sadism disorder, transvestic disorder, voyeuristic disorder and pedophilic disorder. Despite all these things being labeled a 'disorder' in DSMs for years, the actions some of them result in — for example, flashing, assault and battery, and 'peeping Tom' behavior — are all un-controversially illegal.” (Washington Times.)

Frotteurism: holy crap, and I didn’t know this until now.

The truth behind sex addiction. (Canadian Living.)

Here’s Wikipedia’s spin on sexual addiction. (Yeah, fuck, I wish, eh. The trouble is I have too much good sense to give in to some of these urges.) The neutrality of aforesaid article is under dispute, by the way.

Couple fined for oral sex while airborne. See, that’s one reason they should make the bathrooms bigger on planes.

“The affidavit states Martin and Stroble, 44 and 33 years old respectively at the time of the incident, were allegedly asked to stop by an attendant and did so during the drink and snack service, but later repeated the sex acts before landing.”

“One of the passengers complained to an attendant that ‘this is not the sex education I wanted to give my teenage sons,’ according to the criminal complaint.”

No, of course not. You've been putting that off for a while. Don't worry. They probably know more about it than you do. (CNN Travel.)

Famous Israeli singer Eyal Golan involved in a sex scandal. The 17 year-old girl (or at least one of them) says she is still in love with him.

What’s the age of consent in Israel?

Here it is in a nutshell, from Wikipedia: "According to the Israeli Penal Code of 1977 the age of consent in Israel is 16 for any form of sexual relations involving penetration. A special case arises when a person aged 14 or 15 had sexual relations with an older partner; in this case the older partner would be exempt of criminal liability if three conditions are met: the age difference between the partners was less than three years, the younger partner gave consent and the act was done out of ‘regular friendly relations’ and without the abuse of power."

Females 13 to 19 years old the most vulnerable to HIV infection in Jamaica. Sexual abuse against women boosting HIV prevalence. (Jamaica Gleaner.)

“Jamaica Aids Support for Life (JASL) has said physical and sexual violence against women remains a significant contributor to the prevalence of HIV in Jamaica. In a release to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women which is being observed today, JASL said females 13 to 19 years old remained the most vulnerable to infection. The organization said, however, that approximately 40,000 Jamaicans are living with HIV/AIDS, or 1.5 per cent of the population, a significant reduction since the disease emerged in the 1980s. JASL said inequality in sexual relationships continues to affect females' ability to negotiate condom use. And, they say the situation is still being compounded by the culture of multiple partners among males.”

Journalist who accused Tarun Tejpal of sexual assault has quit job at Tehelka Magazine. (NDTV.)

“On Saturday, the young journalist who has alleged sexual assault, said she was worried about her family being harassed by Mr Tejpal's associates. The journalist released a statement in which she said a member of Mr Tejpal's family visited her mother's home in Delhi and asked what the young woman "wanted" and who is assisting her legally.”

assaulted

From: Bad intentionz. (Wiki.)

November 5, 2013

10:37 a.m.

My brother assaulted me this morning.

He called me up and said we had something to discuss regarding mother’s estate, and that he had information ‘from the lawyer.’

So when I got there, I took off my coat and my glasses and then he started in on all the things my sister was doing to him. All the things she was doing wrong with our mother’s estate. All the reasons why we were doing so well and he was doing so poorly, everything that we owed him and all that we had done to him. He went on and on about how stupid mom was for doing this, for letting this happen to her estate.

She passed away. She didn’t have a lot of money, but it’s divided between us equally. My sister is the executor. It can take up to  two years to settle an estate. She just died about a year ago.

He's burning money. He hemorrages money. He's always demanding money, and groceries, and gas, and help, and do you have a little spare cash lying around?

And I guess I said the wrong thing. I told him the reason he didn’t have any money was because he is a crackhead.

I guess he didn't want to hear about that.

But I’m so tired of hearing this shit. He has left nasty messages on my sister's phone. he's threatening people, admittedly behind their back. Now he's assaulting people. My sister has talked to security at her workplace about my brother. That’s how it is, and yet I never was afraid of my brother before this.

We had some words going back and forth, during which he brought up a few old grudges, and then he told me to get out and never to set foot in his house again.

No sooner had I stood up, than he was right on me. He had me by the throat. His fist was clenched and his arm was cocked, ready to drive me one right in the face. He was this close to beating me to a pulp. I have no doubts of that, the only question is what stopped him.

But I knew enough not to give him what he wanted. I don’t know why, but I never raised my arms from my sides. I didn’t move a muscle.

I stared into those eyes.

I told Dale to do it.

Do it, you piece of shit.

Go ahead.

Make my day.

You’ve earned it.

You earned it.

He shoved me back, and he’s telling me to get out and never come back. I’m trying to tell him I’m leaving, right?

He shoves me back, I fall over a chair, smash into the corner of a desk, his wide-screen TV is wobbling like it’s going to fall off, and he’s still on his feet. He’s still got me by the throat, he still had his fist cocked like that and all I could do was to wait.

All I could do was to wait.

I wasn’t even scared. All of a sudden he yanks me back up and his mouth is just going—all those grudges, all that anger towards my sister, every other person he could think of, and obviously me.

I said I’m leaving. Finally he lets go and I grabbed my coat. I got out of there, with him still talking away on my way down the hall. All that passivity saved me. To raise a hand to defend myself would have just set him off, I am convinced of that. It would have been a knock-em down, drag 'em out fight that would have shed blood, broke bones. He's a big strong boy. I would have been fighting for my life.

I got in my car, backed out, I got a few feet, and then I remembered my glasses. So I got out and went back, and the funny thing was, I still wasn’t even really angry. I wasn’t going back for one last word or anything like that.

Anyhow, all of a sudden he comes out of the house with my glasses.

He started saying something about how lucky I was that he didn’t smash them.

I thanked Dale for my glasses.

“Have a nice day, Dale.”

That’s what I said. I turned and walked away.

It was only later that I got upset. I’ll be all right. I’m not seriously injured. I don’t think there’s any kind of a mark on me.

I feel a little sick to my stomach.

You see, ladies and gentlemen…I lost a brother today.

Oh, he’s still out there somewhere.

But he’s definitely gone.

My former husband Rick is gone now too. He's out west somewhere.

Thank heaven for small mercies, but I learned a thing or two from old Ricky.

I’ll never forget them, either.

Sex News Roundup.

Your hostess, Dusty Miller.

A taxing decision.

Same sex marriage partners now face ‘taxing’ decisions. Internal Revenue Service will treat as legal marriage as long as ceremony was performed in state or jurisdiction where it is legal.

“Not all same-sex couples are going to benefit financially from this change in tax law. Many will get hit with the ‘marriage penalty’ that many traditional couples have incurred over the years. This happens most frequently when both spouses earn income and their income is relatively the same, or when combined is more than $250,000 annually.” – Washington  Times, Communities.

Student sex: good news is 25 % not getting any.

Student sex; who’s having it, who’s not and are they using protection. -- Canada dotCom

A new national sex survey finds that a quarter of Canadian university students aren’t getting any. Not now, not ever.

“Twenty-seven per cent of college males and 23 per cent of college females have never engaged in vaginal, oral or anal sex, according to a report released Tuesday by Trojan and The Sex Information and Education Council of Canada (SIECCAN). The bad news, however, is that among those young people who aren’t abstaining, fully half don’t use a glove.”

A glove? Did you say, “A glove?” Did you say, ‘The bad news?” This would imply some sort of standpoint. So what is that standpoint? Presumably they mean a rubber glove—for all of that anal sex, or, er, ah; foreplay…???

Ewwww!!!

Science: married couples rarely have sex for fun.

The real reason long-term couples are still banging away: to ‘approach’ or to ‘avoid.’ -- Wall Street Journal.

-- sex not fun anymore.

“For years, Julie Brinton's days have been filled with sippy cups and skinned knees, and the endless push of getting three young children through dinner time, bath time, bedtime. By the time she crawls into bed each night, she has one thing on her mind: zoning out to an hour or so of TV.

But some nights, her husband, Rob, reaches over to rub her shoulders and offer her a back rub. And then Ms. Brinton thinks: "Has it really been three weeks? I guess we should probably have sex."

Yeah, so? Big deal. Get over it, throw a flag over your head—or a bag, and do it for your country.

No one says you have to like it—think of what your mother went through. Didn’t your old man once say when he was drunk that he used to put an ashtray between your mother’s breasts and left his boots on?

It could be worse. You could be one of those Canadian college students up shit creek without a glove.

Pay up or go to jail:

Military punished in sex scandal, pushed woman from car in dispute over payment.

Leon Paneta says two had ranks reduced and secret agent no longer in country.

Masturbation more shocking than sex?

Well, that’s easy stupid, because sex is also involved with status. Those who are getting it have higher status than those who ain’t—don’t believe me, ask 25 % of college kids here in Canada.

They’ll tell you just how terrible it is. But let’s be honest, (maybe even a little bit serious) for a minute, if we can—sex is ‘natural’ while masturbation is both unnatural and evil. Janet Reno found that out the hard way, when the former Attorney General of the U.S. suggested that encouraging masturbation might lead to fewer unwanted pregnancies in the most at-risk age group, young people. She lost her job over that one, as I recall.

And why are these fonts all wonky? Sigh. Blogger is such a pain in the pattooties sometimes!

So anyway, that's all I got for you this time.

Byeeee!

Lazy Modern Man descended from Homo Pigerus.

"Try not to drop the baby dear, I ain't going down for it." (Chris huh.)

Modern man is descended from what I have dubbed ‘Homo Pigerus.’
Not to be confused with Homo Suidae, the actual pig-men that do still live among us, but a literal translation of lazy in Latin, which is one of my favourite tongues.
A dead tongue but a good one, that’s what my friend always says. (She’s still looking for a man with scratch, by which, I take it, she means money…and good looking?)
Hah! Good luck with that one, Baby Girl.
(She’s checking the horoscope again and making like it’s her day.) But of course we were sitting around in tree-tops, unable to sleep at night, and all we had to do was look at frickin’ stars and wish for a better way of doing things…one that’s not quite so difficult…right?
Otherwise we would still be swinging from tree branches and picking lice off our social betters in the hopes of a quick snack and maybe a few humps from behind if we were in estrus…God, what a gnarly old tree that was.
But I digress, ladies, (and  gentlemen, too, ‘cause I know one or two of you read this blog in the rather forlorn hope of gaining some insight into the minds of women.)
Boy, you are S.O.L.
I’ll give you a little hint, boys: we’re like a man with a vagina, in other words about what you’d expect if you or your buddy had a you-know-what.
But let’s face it, its hard work and takes too much concentration to sit around in tree branches all day long. The food’s terrible, you can’t sleep at night and obviously there’s not much privacy. Sticking a big wad of moss in your crotch every twenty-eight days or so gets old pretty quickly, am I right, girls?
You ever had that feeling? You know, like the one where you’re just dropping off to sleep and then all of a sudden, holy crap, it’s like you’re going, and then “GAAAH!” and then you grab onto the edge of the bed, like that’s actually going to help or anything.
It’s that falling sensation. It’s like a half a frickin’ million years have gone by and we’re still scared of falling out of that frickin’ tree. And what’s with kids, eh? Show ‘em a frickin’ tree and the little bastards want to go climb it so they can enjoy the thrill of knowing that they might fall down and break their damned necks.
Seriously, I mean it, back then we said, shit, we’re better off roaming the great plains and trying to eat as much grass and twigs and roots and shrubs as we can, better to contend with the frickin’ lions and the Goddam crocodiles when all we want is a drink of water. And yeah, a half a million years later, we still have that irrational fear of being eaten. Right, ladies? You know what I’m talking about, or, or yeah, the one where we’re scared shitless a fricking mouse is going to run up our leg and crawl into our frickin’ pussy. That’s what we call an atavistic fear, if you’re the writing type, and I know I am. Still scared of snakes going up our legs, eh, ladies?
Holy, crap. What’s with them guys? Are they always like that?
But seriously, folks, those fears go back a long ways and we got to conquer them.
Yeah, man, like living in a tree: don’t drop the baby, although I admit there’s nothing like taking a good dump from the top of an acacia when a micro-bus full of frickin’ alien tourists show up on their way to the airport at what’s that place. Oh, yeah, the Plains of Nazca in frickin’ Peru.
That at least makes sense. They say that’s an old alien spaceport, you know, in which case, why not put it a little closer to town?
That’s what my friend says, and she’s usually got her own unique insights.

Here's a free ebook for yez from Barnes & Noble.

My First Sale. Squee!

Uh, oh.

What a thrill it is to have sold my first story. You heard me—my first sale!
Squee!
And all that sort of thing. It will be appearing in December. I will talk a little bit more about that when the date of publication gets closer.
Other than that, I’ve been doing some writing, in between nursing the piglet through a bit of a bad summer cold. God, how I can’t wait for the little one to go back to school. The little rat wants to sleep with me, which puts a crimp on the old self-love life…just kidding.
Those Lithium-Polymer batteries will last forever.
A mother can be forgiven. Not that it’s much of a relief.
She’ll be exposed to every germ and bug in the county when she’s back in school, but they can’t be sick all the time.
In other news, I’ve got a couple of stories under submission. They were submitted to magazines that pay pretty good money, so we’ll see what happens.
I remain optimistic, whether it kills me or not. That’s what my friend says. She’s a lesbian. She kick-starts her vibrator and rolls her own tampons…I’m just kidding, ladies. She’s got an electric starter on the old Husqvarna.
A dirt bike for a dirt bag! That’s what she always says.
Other than that, keep your stick on the ice and your eye on the balls…whatever.
Sugar, I almost forgot.
You can get a free copy of my first ever literary effort here at Amazon, it’s called Project: Passion.
